Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized the importance of institutionalizing Nepal's federal democratic republic system. Speaking at the unveiling of the Jaya Nepal Foundation's souvenir "Jaya Nepal Sandesh" at his residence in Budhanilkantha, Deuba highlighted the need to strengthen democracy, uphold the rule of law, ensure good governance, and protect citizens' rights.
He urged the Jaya Nepal Foundation to support the Nepali Congress in its efforts to solidify the republic system by offering constructive suggestions and feedback. Deuba expressed his optimism that the foundation, established to connect Nepali communities worldwide, would play a vital role in advancing the nation.
Chair of the Foundation, Badri Aryal, informed Deuba about the foundation’s objectives and ongoing campaigns. Additionally, Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Dhaneshwar Nepal and Member Secretary Bijayaraj Adhikari shared insights into the souvenir's content and the foundation’s mission of fostering unity and cooperation among Nepali youths both at home and abroad.
